Health Requirements and Conditions for a visit to Nouabale-Ndoki National Park, Republic of Congo
CGT collects all health documentation and submits it to the park authorities 4 – 6 weeks in advance of tour arrival.
All visitors have to follow the health protocol of NNNP.All visitors to NNNP may have to present their medical certificates to NNNP authorities upon their arrival toBomassa, park headquarters. If the certificates are not complete the direction of NNNP will refuse the entry to the park.
The following vaccinations are imperative:
- Polio
- Measles (*it is indicated that individuals who are immuno-compromised should be vaccinated against measles.)
- Yellow fever (Also required to enter most Central African countries)
In addition every visitor has to show proof that they are tuberculosis free. NegativeTB test (subcutaneous test: Mantoux or other known tests) should have been obtained in the last six months before arrival. The directors of NNNP will also refuse entry to the park to anyone who shows any sign of the disease even if they have already presented their medical certificate. Please note that for those who have been vaccinated in their childhood, a certificate/letter from a doctor attesting that you are free of TB (this is because the test can potentially be positive) is required. Therefore NNNP also accept a prior vaccination (BCG vaccine) as proof.
