This trip starts from Goma in the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our driver guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel. Drive to Bukima, the starting point for the gorilla trek. Go for briefing about gorilla tracking in the Virunga. Guided by a park ranger, start the hike through the forest for mountain gorilla trackimg in the Virunga National Park, the pioneer for gorilla tourism in Africa. The time spent on a gorilla trek is unpredictable given that it can take from just 30 minutes hike to 8 hours hikes through the jungle. Upon meeting the mountain gorillas, you have up to 1 hour to watch these great apes. Feel free to ask the guide about everything you would like to know about the life of the mountain gorillas. Photography is allowed though flash photography is strictly forbidden – this is aimed at protecting you from the gorillas who are suspicious about your flash lights!
After spending a full hour with the gorillas, return to Bukima. Our guide will drive you back to the lodge or hotel. Drop off at the hotel or Airport
