Single rooms are available upon request in the parks, but may not be available.
Nouabale-Ndoki National Park camps sleep a maximum of eight guests at one time.
This tour is based on single occupancy in hotels or double occupancy only for couples as twin bedrooms are not available in Central African hotels.
Proof of yellow fever vaccination is required for entry to ROC, CAR and DRC. International health certificates are checked upon arrival.
Visas are required before arriving in ROC, CAR and DRC.
It is strongly recommended that all visitors are vaccinated against hepatitis A and B before travel in Central Africa.
If guests arrive in the parks ill, or show any symptoms of illness (colds, flu, cough, diarrhoea, etc), they are not allowed to visit the habituated gorillas and may be barred from MbeliBai observation platform in Nouabale-Ndoki National Park. Please see separate link for important health requirements and instructions for your visit to NNNP.
Typically two guests at a time visit the habituated gorillas. Viewing time is one hour.
All visitors to Nouabale-Ndoki are supplied masks to place over their nose and mouths when visiting the habituated gorillas and they must maintain a distance from the animals of seven meters. This is strictly enforced. This is because NNNP’s gorillas are habituated to a closer distance with researchers. The masks are to prevent human to gorilla disease transmission.
Children under the age of twelve years are not permitted to observe the habituated gorillas at Nouabale-Ndoki National Park.
Instructions on how to behave while in the forest and while observing gorillas are furnished to all participants before travel.
Special diets other than vegetarian cannot be catered for.
Good physical condition is required.
Languages catered for: English, French, Lingala; working knowledge of Sanjo and BaAka.
